Title: Avast V7 - not enough storage is available to process the command
Post by: JackPollack on June 14, 2019, 07:19:02 PM
Using Avast V7 on an old WinXp computer (please lets not get into that).

Everything was working great until yesterday (6/13) and successfully download the first update for the day 190613-0. Since then the updates have failed with message "not enough storage is available to process the command"

I have 165GB free disk space and reboot didn't help either.

I'm afraid those old versions did do that in certain circumstances... that error isn't really about disk space, but rather memory (and not even RAM memory, but rather the virtual address space of the process where the update is running - which is something you can't do much about).
I suggest to try downloading the full virus definition update (https://www.avast.com/download-update) and running it to update your definitions. Hopefully it helps... (but even if it does, I can't say for how long).
