Title: why avast does not prevent a first click on http sites to go to suspicious sites
Post by: jraju on June 23, 2019, 04:53:20 PM
Hi,
I am using latest free version.
Ofcourse, the avast program finds and fixes with a alert on suspicious sites , if you click for the first time or any time a link in http sites, allowed deliberately or otherwise.
But , is there any idea, that i could avoid clicking on the link that is real genuine.
the first click only goes to the suspicious sites and the second click do not affect anything on a website, that allows listening to music or donwload the same .
The first click invariably goes to suspicious sites, but if you close the popup wndow, you could just go to the real site on second click on http sites.
Is there anything  that i could avoid the first click, for eg.. enablilng double click on mouse so that one could avoid first click random redirection.
or by adding in avast in suspicious redirection.
i cannot use the website if i totally disable the website in avast.
any good idea or clue please.

What is the problem?
A picture of the problem will work wonders here.

Odd that you cannot visit the site at all if Avast Web Shield???? is disabled.  Anyway, why have avast if you do not pay attention?

Hi, sorry for late reply , as i did not enable email receipt of reply from avast.
i am using avast for more than ten years and maintaining properly.
When i click on website, having http in a clickable area, where normally you input search item, on the first click on the web page, the rediction to suspicious download or site is taking place.
If i just close the pop up page and then click again in the same input tab, i get to the original site sub pages.
This is the area, i want avast to look at.
Your comment of why having could not be replied back.
i am a user of avast and keeping my computer clean from attacks, and i do not intend to use any other free antivirus, including avg.
i hope that you understand the concern.
avast ofcourse block the web site , but what i want is , can avast made it to click the two times at the first click itself on http sites, so that i could not get the redirection.

[Answer directed at bolded area]:  No, avast is not able to double-click two times as you would like it to do.

Again, if avast is blocking access to a website, allow it to do it's job to protect you and then come here to have experts investigate that website for you.  You should present the website as hxxp://your.website.com (change the http to hxxp for safety).  We will then have a look.

Without knowing what websites you are having difficulties with, we can only guess.
