Title: Unable to Install free version Server is offline

Hey folks,

Looking for help with installing avast free again. Starting yesterday the update function of avast would just not finish installing. To fix this I uninstalled avast and tried reinstalling. The installer then goes on for like 7 minutes and displays an error. I tried a dns flush so far.

Error log (I removed my IP from this):

Any idea? This happens on two seperate machines in the same household. So this is either some routing error or the server is really down.

- OS..? (32/64 Bit..? - which SP/Build..?)
- Other security related software installed..?
- Which AV(s) did you use before Avast..?

Windows 64 bit Version 10.0.17763 Build 17763
No other related Software
Only used Avast

1. Download Avast Free Antivirus: https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_free_antivirus_setup_offline.exe
2. Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed Avast versions..!!)
3. Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
4. Reboot.

Yeah i figured this is  the offline installer. Will this resolve future updating problems to the same server tho?

It looks like with this install, now even newest virus definitions are no longer updating and are stuck in the install process
