Hi,
Yesterday afternoon I updated to the latest version of Avast Free and since I rebooted the PC I cannot receive any mails from my GMX accounts (with The Bat!). I can only check with the browser. In the GMX trouble shootings I did not find anything. I also tried to deactivate Avast for 10 minutes - no success. I deactivated just mail checking in Avast - no success.
I attach a screenshot of the error which is always the same since yesterday early afternoon.
I hope someone can help me.

- Which AV(s) did you use before Avast..?

Window 7 Ultimate 64 bit. No other security software except Windows firewall. Tried getting mails with deactivated firewall, but still does not work.
Since 2002 I use Avast.
No other update was done than the Avast yesterday. No new programs installed. It still does not work. For the moment I managed to make gmail get my gmx mails because gmail works

1. Download Avast Free Antivirus: https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_free_antivirus_setup_offline.exe
2. Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed Avast versions..!!)
3. Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
4. Reboot.
