Post by: tulasu on January 14, 2004, 02:10:04 AM
Hello,

When I try to run avast!, it runs through the Memory and Startup Test and then gives me an error message saying

Not enough storage to process this command.
Splash cannot execute the following command:
C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashSimpl.exe

Thanks for any help, T.

Got enough diskspace? Run scandisk and defrag and try again. Disable all progs running and try again. Check your memory. One of these might solve it.

I'm not so sure it's a memory trouble...  ::)
Are you running Windows XP? Maybe it's a RPC (Remote Procedure Call) service error. Go to Administrative Tools > Services > RPC and see if it is set for start and run automatically.

Maybe, the easier will be an uninstall and re-install avast! to see if it works.
Luck  ;)
