Title: Avast Free Possible Issue--Not Sure
Post by: Patrick2 on July 01, 2019, 03:17:18 AM
Hello All

Some reason my Windows 10 Pro x64 1903 18362.207 Tempoary Internet files location goes missing on every boot up,   other forum i posted for help in a Windows 10 Forum,  kept telling me it's probably Avast Free causing the issue, and you can remove it and use Defender,    I don't believe it's Avast though or alot of folks would be complaining i would think

It makes Windows 10 Apps not work right,  MS Edge, and Internet Explorer, (log off and on, makes it back to default and working though)

If this topic needs moved, thats fine,  as i'm at a loss what is causing this, even did a Windows 10 Clean install, and problem even came back, just don't get it

I'm using Avast free 19.6.2383 (build 19.6.4546.494) on Win10 1903. I can see path to temp fles OK on my system.

Then i'm not sure what the heck is wrong with mine,   I got folks in another forum that I asked for help in lol, blaming my 3rd party Av Avast Free,  heck I even did a system clean install and it came back a second time,  gonna try a clean boot soon, and hopefully can narrow down what service, or program causing it for sure.      I've used Avast Free since 2006,  don't really wanna have to rely on Windows Defender and Malwarebytes Free
