Title: Glitch When Scanning File For Viruses
Post by: Spiritual2016 on July 10, 2019, 10:06:31 AM
Win 7 Home Premium x64 SP 1
Avast Program: 19.6.2383
Virus Definitions: 190709-4

I prefer to scan files using Windows Explorer.

When a file is right-clicked, there is an option for Avast to scan for viruses and, up until Tues evening, Avast would show a pop-up message in the lower right corner once completed.

However, now, there is no pop-up so I have to go into the Avast interface and click on scan history in order to view the list of files scanned.

Is this a glitch or am I missing something?

Hello Asyn:

Thanks for the link.

Hopefully a fix will occur sooner than later since the right-click option from within Windows Explorer was convenient.

When a fix is released, will it be included in the virus definition update or the program update?

That's up to the devs.
