Mac notebook Air with mohave suggests that you encript your files. my question is: will avast work with data encription? I'm new at this and just need some information. Please bear with me as a newcomer to mac. I bought the Mac note book for the simple reason that is was far more secure Than windows. PS I hate windows BTW. I would appreciate any comments on the subject.

Hello,
the encryption is done by MacOS so that it is transparent; there is no impact on Avast Antivirus functionality.

Thanks for your help. And being kind with your reply. So I can encrypt my Mac Air with Mohave and avast will accept it and do a proper scan?
