Title: Somebody help me,i have problem with this.

is there anyway to upload a file to virustotal without being attacked by threats,i want to restore the detected file and upload it to virustotal but yet at the same time i dont to be attacked by the detected file

file does not attack unless you run it, but avast may detect it again when restored

There used to be two restore options, restore to orginal location or restore to a selected folder

If that option is still there (i dont use avast so dont know) then you could create a folder on your desktop named "Virustotal uploads" and exclude this folder from scanning. Then you restore file to that folder and you can then upload to VT without avast detecting and quarantine it again.
