Title: Avast virus lab
Post by: tiamat95 on August 01, 2019, 12:03:39 AM
Hey Community,
i've gotten a weird popup information this evening. It said file "blabla.exe" has been analyzed by the virus lab and is harmless.
My question now is, how did avast decide on its own that it wants to send my file to their virus lab? I didnt get any popup that it got detected as virus or anything, and i also didnt give permission to send in my file to their lab. Is that now a bug in their software, is it a hidden setting somewhere that they have default on to get more data, or what is happening there? If it happens to more people, pls let us know.

thx, Tiamat
