Hello everyone,
My first post here :) I have a problem that repeats once a week but today it have intensified. After I connect to the internet Avast notifies me that virus have been found.
It's Win23:Spyware-gen [Trj] in C:\DOCUME~1\MODY~1\USTAWI~1\Temp\Newxx.tmp\upg_dll.dll
where the xx is a number or sometimes it's just a letter. It grows from lower numbers to higher (now it goes from 5 than jumps to 11 and from 11 step by step to 14 /and still counting/) I've checked with Trojan Hunter 4 and found absolutely nothing, I've also checked Temp folder and it's empty.
This problem happened to me before but I thought I got rid of this malware.
Any ideas guys/gals?

If you haven't already got this software (freeware), download, install, update and run it.
1. Ad-Aware (http://www.lavasoft.de/support/download)
2. Spybot Search and Destroy (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?lang=en&page=download)
3. Spywareblaster (http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html) Don't install this until you are clean.
I suggest you also look at these trojan detection tools Ewido anti-spyware (http://www.ewido.net/en/download/) If using winXP. or a-Squared free (http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/free/) if using win98/ME.

:) Hi Loma :
IF DavidR's advise does NOT work, ask for help on the
forums of your antiSPYWARE Provider; if you know of
none, I recommend www.landzdown.com .
