Title: Cannot Download

I have tried to download the free Avast, and when the program starts I immediately get that there was an error while completing the setup process. I have attached the log that comes with it.

Can someone help me? I'm afraid there is a virus on my computer keeping me from loading an antivirus program.

Do you already have an antivirus program installed?  What operating system?

Try downloading the full off-line installer for avast free here:  https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=228911.0 (https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=228911.0)  (Scroll down to the bottom of the first topic entry (offline) and click the one for Free.)

It looks like the installer was not able to connect to the internet at all (DNS errors, even when connecting to google DNS servers, http errors, when connecting directly to IP address).
Can you confirm that internet works during the installation?
