Post by: Reiza on September 13, 2019, 04:17:56 PM
Yesterday, I released the latest version Luminous Black.  But few hours later, so many emails came to my inbox contained complaints about my app was detected by Avast or AVG as malware. That's funny, I tried to scan my app using other antivirus, the results is safe
I need explanation, why this happen to my app. I'm not professional programmer who can create a malware/virus. I need help here. I hope you fix your virus database ASAP!

Hi, we checked the issue you reported and found that your app was marked on the base of cloud reputation. "Cloud rep" is a feature of Avast Mobile Security, which flags apks when following conditions are met:

1. The file is not prevalent enough, ei. not enough users of Avast Mobile Security tried to install the apk yet.
2. The source of installation is not an established market (Google play and a couple more).

Once you start the publishing via Google Play Store (or other established market) then your users will actually never see this "cloud rep" warning. Your developers and beta testers will probably still see this message until upper mentioned conditions are met.
