Title: Avast kicks my disk usage to 100%

100% disk usage is freezing my PC frequently -once every 2 days. 
Task manager shows Avast Service in particular and a few other Avast services putting disk usage to 100%.

I was in a biz meeting a week ago and had to hard reboot with the power key as nothing would close/work.

I have an Avast Premier subscription.
Windows 8.1 64 bit v6.3 build 9600

Is this forum supported by Avast at all?   
If I can't solve it -and I'm reading its pretty common - I'll have to drop Premium.

ps that captcha code is a PITA.

- Which version of Avast Premium..?
- Other security related software installed..?
- Which AV(s) did you use before Avast..?

Hi,

To clarify.
Did you notice this issue with Avast Premier or after upgrading to Avast Premium(if you did indeed upgrade)?
Have you tried to repair the application? https://support.avast.com/en-ww/article/Repair-Antivirus
