Hi, noob here.
I just installed avast and then started up Thunderbird.
It now asks me to allow a security exception for "pop.gmx.net:995" and another mail adress.
I have the option to download a security certificate, but it says there isn't enough information / unknown identity.
Even if I allow the exception (and the option to safe this exception is ticked), the program keeps asking me for this exception. Nothing else happens, I can't use my Emails.
Can you guys help me? Would be very much appreciated.
Best, Mathis

First, be sure to get rid of all remnants of your prior installed AV(s)..!!
-> https://support.avast.com/article/11/
Then:
1. Download Avast Free Antivirus: https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_free_antivirus_setup_offline.exe
2. Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed Avast versions..!!)
3. Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
4. Reboot.
