Hi,

I had a problem with previous version as described here - https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=229461.msg1522692#msg1522692

Today I try this new beta version, hoping to find problem fixed, however, I experienced a new problem - BSOD when cyber capture runs.

Avast Premium Security Beta ver 19.9.2394
Windows 10 Pro v1903 build 18362.418

Removed Avast again completely as cannot use like this.

Thanks again.

Ok, so I have an observation with latest beta release, similar to my post re v19.8.2393 (https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=229461.msg1522692#msg1522692).

This again relates to the SierraChart software, which has two chart rendering modes Windows GDI & OpenGL. If I enable OpenGL rendering, then 'Avast Behaviour Shield' is often seen to fully occupy 1 core/thread, which in turn leads to a much less responsive user interface.

Strangely, this still happens (although to a lesser extent) when Behaviour Shield is disabled. In addition to this, I have set exceptions for SierraChart software and associated data files, but this does not stop the interference of Behaviour Shield.

I do not see any evidence of the behaviour when using Windows GDI rendering, nor did I experience this behaviour when Avast was fully uninstalled.

Avast Premium Security ver 19.9.2394 (build 19.9.4824.537)

Repair Avast:
1. Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs -> Avast
2. Click on 'Repair'.
3. Follow instructions.
4. Reboot.

Hello Im very new in this beta-program. I ve got the link from M.  of The Avast Support Team.

I 've had strange BSOD's with the "regular" version of AVAST (internet security), now they are gone. So far so good.
What i've noticed is, in this beta program, the SPAM filter marks every incoming e-mail with asterics  '** SPA.. **'  No matter what config i choose.
I wonder if anyone else have seen this behavoir ?

greetz,
GJ

Sadly, I've given up on Avast beta and gone back to Safari. Avast beta is fast and efficient and I like the layout but it will not play videos on news channels or the BBC, I have tried to find solutions and have gone to Chrome to reset stuff and to Flash Player likewise but half the time I do not understand what I am supposed to do. Life's too short - back to Safari. Pity!

Hello Karel, I wanted to ask if igor's fix is included in 19.9.x?
This is about the Browser Hook changing Firefox TLS/SSL settings even when WebShield is uninstalled.

Yes. I have difficulties to install it. The NVDA screenreader read nothing. I had to ask sighted person to help. I think, that it won't be a problem to make avast accessible with nvda. The NVDA is open source on github.

OK, afaik NVDA should work with Avast.
Could you provide some details..!?

- OS..? (32/64 Bit..? - which SP/Build..?)
- Other security related software installed..?
- Which AV(s) did you use before Avast..?
Title: Re: New beta version 19.9.2394

Generally users of screenreaders navigate through computer by pressing the keystrokes, such as tab, shift+tab, and arrow keys, or key shortcuts.
As I heard, Avast for jaws screenreader is accessible, but for most of the blind people it is expensive. In Poland, it costs 4000 zlots. I have:
Os - Windows 10 professional x64 build 19.09
Earlier I had windows defender security center.
Thank you
PS. I think, that the best solution for all screenreaders will be to create avast products as a web application.

What's going on with avast! ? I know there has been weird stuff going on recently, but is there a large release planned sometime soon? Usually around such time, we got a major yearly update, but now we have a rather generic update hanging up in the air for few months now.
