Title: Avast Antivirus > Exceptions (path to specific folder not to scan)
Post by: KirillK on November 06, 2019, 11:32:40 AM
Hello there,

I have a question regarding adding some specific folders as exceptions to the Avast Antivirus so it doesn't scan them.
The question is: when I add an asterix - does it imply all nested directories up to the bottom, or only 1 level (files in all directories which match asterix)

In other words, does:
D:/DEV/*

will inlcude
D:/DEV/Dir1/Dir2/Dir3

or just
D:/DEV/Dir1

Thank you!

you can test it ... download and save EICAR test file in those locations and see if it is detected

It matches anything below, i.e. any number of subfolders.
