Title: getting notifications on the Mac
Post by: Amkor on December 01, 2019, 09:25:16 PM
Free Avast virus protection on my iMac (Yosemite). How do I get notifications of Avast performing it's duties? I set Avast to scan my iMac every Saturday night and expect a notification to give me a report or at least a verification that the scan was actually performed. But there is no such notification showing, and in the System Preferences > Notifications, Avast does not show up in the list of applications that are srt to create notifications.

Thanks for your help!

Hello,
Unfortunately with release of Avast 14 GUI rewrite scan results are only reported via popup, which is not a standard Mac notification; however hopefully within a few weeks a new version should be released, and it reintroduces the list of completed scan.
We apologise for this, the feature was deprioritized during development, which was a mistake.
Kind regards,
