Title: Invalid DRI*AVAST Charge On My Credit Card
Post by: Francis126 on December 05, 2019, 04:08:16 PM
Today, December 5, 2019, a charge for $192.59 appeared on my credit card from DRI*AVAST Software. The thing is I use Avast Secure Line paid for thru Apple on my wife's credit card. The subscription fee is $7.99 per month and covers up to 5 devices on our Apple iCloud account.  My credit card has never been used on the Apple Store nor have I ever purchased anything direct from Avast on my credit card or any other card.   That said, I do manage my credit card via my iPhone while connected to the Avast SecureLine VPN.

Immediately after the fraudulent Avast charge 18 more fraudulent charges appeared in rapid succession.

I have alerted my credit card company. My concern is that the Avast security breach announced on October 21, 2019 has allowed bad actors to view my activity conducted via the Avast SecureLine VPN.  Has anyone else experienced similar issues?
