Title: Winsonar, how good is it?

I'm currently using Winpatrol but I found a program that monitors processes called Winsonar.
Can it be substitute for Winpatrol?
How good is it?

Personally, I'd rather stick with a program I know and trust.
I have however downloaded and tried Winsonar and not quite sure what to make of it.

Mina, I've download and will take a look...
Seems a little bit different from WinPatrol and with less features. It's a process monitor and not a security program itself.

ok...a question-i like winpatrol and have been using the free version for years and i am thinking about upgrading to the plus version....i have my ewido real time running-can i have this(link below)or will they conflict???is this considered real time like another spyware program.....don't want two as real time :o

Will WinPatrol conflict with other security programs.

      WinPatrol works much differently than traditional Anti-Spyware & Security programs. We don't hook directly into any system resources and all system monitoring is done as read only operations. Many of our users also use programs from Norton, Sygate, McAfee, AVG, Panda, TrendMicro and no conflicts have been reported. Our users have also had success with Adaware, SpyBot as well as the highly recommended Zone Alarm.

      WinPatrol has an advantage in detecting and stopping potentially dangerous programs but we still encourage the use of the anti-virus program of your choice to help you find and remove any portions that remain. For list of other vendors see http://www.mysteryware.com.

      SpySweeper users have reported that Scotty regularly lets them know about changes to the HOSTs file. Apparently SpySweeper in its monitoring of the HOST file rewrites the file. We recommend you disable HOST file monitoring in either SpySweeper or in WinPatrol set the patrol time for HOST file to zero.

Winsonar... no thanks...
Tested. A deep port scanner for advanced users and worse, for the ones not testing programs... anything that connects and is not on the allowed list is blocked...
To heavy on resources...
A different program than WinPatrol but, after all, uninstalled  :P

Here to.  Winpatrole asks if it's ok to run a program. This program just blocks them and you'll
wonder why certain things no longer function.... (Thanks but NO thanks)  >:(
