Title: Avast Business Pro Firewall Not keeping settings past reboot
Post by: coypu on January 06, 2020, 05:49:00 PM
On one system protected by Avast Business Pro the Firewall is very frustrating for a PC which needs to be used for remote desktop.

The "Allow remote desktop connections to this computer" will NOT stay enabled past a reboot.
In geek:area Internet Connection Sharing (which should not be necessary in the first place) will not stay enabled past a reboot.
If I disable the Firewall indefinitely THAT won't stay past a reboot either.
Avast gives good protection but the granularity of control is lacking.
Also I realize that simply clicking settings on a page without a "save" button is the new style of doing things, but over against that aesthetic choice, I think an unambiguous SAVE button with a "Settings saved" acknowledgement would improve functionality over the current click and hope it stays when you close the window way of doing things.

If you have a "managed" version of Avast Business Antivirus Pro, you need to setup your firewalls directives on the console to be applied on the devices, not locally.

You can also configure firewall policy in your Managed Console to allow firewall settings to be managed locally.
