Title: Avast Cleanup - setup folder
Post by: hwriedt on January 09, 2020, 11:59:57 PM
I installed Avast Cleanup with avast-cleanup-setup.exe. After using it, I uninstalled with Windows 8.1 (Programs + Features).
I was told, that some files couldn't be deleted. I found in C:/Program Files/Avast Software the folder 'setup',
which is marked in blue. I cannot delete this folder.
Can somebody help me?
Thank you so much.

Hi,

it seems that the setup folder in program folder is being held by some process and therefore it has not been deleted.
Please try to restart your computer and then delete it manually whether it will be possible.

If not please try to find out our setup log so we can take a look at what happened there.

Setup log is located in: c:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp\Setup Log 2018-08-03 #002.txt where the filename could be different based on the date you installed/uinstalled the product and number of attempts.

Thank you.
