The extension does not start on Google Chrome.
I have to activate it every time I launch Chrome
It starts well on Firefox
I love this extension and have been using it for years

You could try removing it restart Chrome and then install it again from here,

Repair Avast:
1. Avast GUI -> Settings -> Troubleshooting
2. Click on 'REPAIR APP'.
3. Follow instructions.
4. Reboot.

Avast Online Security is an extension for Chrome, Firefox, etc ...
I have never configured this extension with the parameters of Avast Anti-Virus.
Do you configure it via the Avast anti-virus software?
