Title: Can't connect to work pc with vpn installed

I use Global VPN Client to connect to my workplace. Then I RDP to my workplace PC.
With Avast vpn connected, I can connect thru Global vpn, but when I RDP it tells me the PC not on my network (it's looking at Avast vpn network?).
I disconnected the Avast vpn and still can't connect via RDP to my pc at workplace.
I have to uninstall Avast vpn then I can connect via RDP to my pc at workplace.

Is there another way to get around this uninstalling and reinstalling?

I turned these 2 to enable in system rules:
1. Please set the "Allow Windows File and Printer sharing" option to "Enabled"
2. Please set the "Allow remote desktop connections to this computer" option to "Enabled"

I turned this on:
1. Please enable "Internet Connection Sharing mode" (click the box to the right of the setting so that a green tick appears).

I don't have this, or I don't know where to find it, but it's not on the Firewall settings window.
2. Please enable "Allow all connections with Friends when in Private mode"

I have Avast Internet Security not Premium (yet)

Sometimes Avast vpn does not start on restart of pc.
I've tried both ways  in regards to public and private.
Still rdp doesn't work.

Avast vpn still not on after all restarts or cold boots.
Sometimes Internet Security doesn't start either.

Still can rdp after all the settings.

Hi,

Could you please clarify, is Avast SecureLine VPN not opening or does it not connect to any VPN location?
Furthermore, You should only use one VPN service at a time.

Sometime Avast vpn doesn't make the connection when booting up, restarting.
The icon in the system tray will have a red dot. It will usually connect, but not always.
Sometimes the Internet Security says am protected but has a caution.

But I still can not rdp to workplace pc unless I uninstall Avast vpn. Disconnecting it doesn't allow the rdp to connect, says pc not on network.

Hi,

Please add a screenshot of your Securelien VPN settings.
Use the (+ Attachments and other options) option below the message box.

Open SecureLine VPN >Menu> Settings > General - and take a screenshot of that, please.
Next, click on " Network Security" - and take a screenshot of that, please.

Hi,

I would suggest that you reinstall Avast VPN client but this time do not enable "Start SecureLine when my computer starts"
This should eliminate any conflicts at startup for the two VPN clients you have.
Also, have a look at Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections and see which one of the two clients (adapters) are active/enabled.
Make sure that the one you need is active.

The problem in the Avast vpn client not always connecting is not that bothersome. I just have to remember to check it each restart or booting up.
My main problem is I can't rdp to work pc with Avast installed. Even when disconnecting Avast vpn I can't rdp.
If this can't be fixed then I'll have to request a refund.

Hi,

Please try my previously mentioned suggestion. It sounds as if there is a conflict with the vpn adapters.
