Get conclusion:
1. The free version shows that the overdue has nothing to do with offline or online installation.
2. The installer cannot accurately determine the user's region. Rarely does the server in the user's area connect properly.
3. The online installer connects to the USA server to download the installer, which causes the installation process to take half an hour.
4. Four activation methods, including the display of the correct activation information "0 days used", but even so, the program interface still shows that the program is out of date, even after restarting windows.
5. The installation and virus database update can be completed online correctly. It is certain that this error belongs to the program itself.

Just tested it once in windows10 1909 x64 home. After a fresh installation, make sure that the device driver is correct, set the network parameters, connect to the network, and then install the offline installation program of avast. next time you perform a clean install, could you make sure that the "C:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\" folder has been removed and at least that the "license.avastlic" file is no longer in the "C:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Subscriptions" folder
I performed the procedure (in safe mode of course) last week for a paid product (but it must be the same for avast free because the file "license.avastlic" is also present in the folder) and neither the folder nor the file was deleted, I had to do it by hand before reinstalling avast.
So, in your case, it could be that avast still detects your old license file... outdated . ;)

Everyday way:
Download the Windows cumulative patch every month, use dism to integrate into install.wim, install Windows 10 completely, install the driver and make the necessary settings, and use the dism command to back up to a wim file. Format the C drive when needed and use the dism command to restore.
For the 1909 version of the test, decompress the install.wim in the iso directly, use the dism command to decompress it to the c drive, and use the bcdboot command to establish boot and restart into the system.
This saves time for a fresh installation of windows.
