Title: Avast free runs startup check

Can anyone tell me how to stop Avast free running a scan on startup?

Please post a screenshot, I'm not aware of any scan on startup.

Neither am I, other than avast's resident on-access scanning of active files/applications at startup.

Note the clear Warning associated with choosing this setting.

That has nothing to do with a scan.

@Bob. I was referring to what David had said. I am guessing the OP has problem with Avast slowing his startup.
Without a screenshot (prompted by Asyn) from the OP we will be none the wiser about his issue.
