Title: Avast still trying to trick members why?
Post by: rebecca992 on March 26, 2020, 04:14:26 PM
Hi, I wonder why avast try to trick or con members who use the free version into weird pop ups to install other unwanted items onto your computer. It's like they are trying to take over my computer, just like a hacker, or virus would do. It simply send pop-ups wanting users to click contuine which would than install something I, or many others do not want.

I thought avast was a company could trust and rely on avast anti-virus to protect us. I searched and see even as far back as 2018 people was posting complaints and it's still happening in 2020

please someone explain what has happened to avast? Is it an American based company?

Avast is not a 501c3 corp. When we use the free version,
you will see an occasion attempt to sell you a paid option.
Avast has several offices in the US but the main office is in Prague, CZ
I view the occasion popups in this way, https://youtu.be/PkAdgFu6su8
