Title: Questions about Avast home edition.
Post by: Tipton on January 19, 2004, 08:45:40 PM
I had just a few more questions. I am using the latest  Avast home edition, and really like it so far. I was wondering why the little icon down  by the clock, spins all the time. Does that show it is scanning?

Also, when I right click a file and scan with Avast, after the scan, the scan screen just disappears. It doesn't say weather or not there was a virus detected in the scanned file. I am assuming that it would only tell me if there was a virus found, and not when there is not a virus found. On my old AV, when I right clicked a file and scanned it, it would always tell me that no virus was found in the scanned file.  Thanks for any comments!

You are right - the blue icon spinning indicates that a scanning is performed.

When you go to the program settings, you can configure the behavior of the Explorer Extension; there's an option to show the results even if no infected file was found.

Thanks for the info. I made the change in program settings and now it does what I like!  ;D
