Title: AVAST CONFLICTS WITH BIG-IP CLIENT
Post by: masterryan on April 03, 2020, 03:55:44 PM
Hi

I am using a Windows 10 laptop. I uninstalled Avast before installing BIG-IP client as suggested by my school. Then I installed the Free Premium Security Trial. Afterwards BIG-IP Client was unable to connect to the Internet. When I uninstalled Avast again, BIG-IP now is able to connect.

Should I install the free version or create exceptions instead to mitigate this issue (as suggested by this article: https://ithelp.brown.edu/kb/articles/troubleshoot-vpn-connectivity-issues (https://ithelp.brown.edu/kb/articles/troubleshoot-vpn-connectivity-issues)) and if so, what exceptions should I set, so that I can have both Avast & BIG-IP running without any conflicts or issues?

Thanks!

Set the Avast Firewall to private mode and reboot.
