Title: Avast system not detecting order ID or password
Post by: f0t0grapher89 on April 09, 2020, 03:45:53 PM
Hi everyone,

I'm having a really bad time trying to update my payment information. Why can't avast just allow you to update payment info under logging into see your subscriptions online? It really is annoying they make you know your order ID and random password to update payment info gggrrr. Not everyone knows and remembers to keep these you know. Password being different from the avast login one used to see your subscriptions. Really stupid!

Anyhow, I have forgotten my order ID, so I head over to https://drhadmin.digitalriver.com/store?Action=DisplayOrderPortalOrderSearchPage&Locale=en_GB&SiteID=avast&mail_mock=old to manage my avast subscription. I click on the need help finding your order ID link and enter my email address and the last 4 digits of my visa debit card exactly like the system says. It brings up a whole bunch of order IDs, about 6-8 in total. I only have 2 products with avast, avast clean up and avast premium security. The problem is none of these work and the system does not detect any. Yes, the email address I put in is the exact same email address I used when I purchased avast. Really annoying the system does not detect any of the order IDs it finds.

Anyhow, so I click on the can't find your password link and enter an order ID the system found as above. I have tried every single order ID and the password reset link only resets my password for my account under the avast account login. I only have 2 avast products, cleanup and avast premium security. I managed to reset my password once, changing one digit and when entering the new password, avast tells me we cannot find an order with that Order ID/Password combination. If I put the password i changed earlier in, it tells me The password cannot be longer than 10 letters. MY PASSWORD DOES NOT HAVE 10 LETTERS!! Most are numbers and the system obviously thinks they're letters not numbers. My password is less than 10 digits.

I've emailed avast and got a reply and all they did was give me the above link taking me to the avast portal login.

Honestly, this system is totally screwed up and they make it so complicated to do one simple thing.

Any help would be much appreciated as this is extremely annoying!
