Title: Does Avast View these or is it just a place for users to exchange information?

If you do monitor these I'm curious as to why it states you do not typically get back to the sender on most occasions when something is sent for analysis? I am using Avast Ultimate 2020 and it keeps hitting the VLC Downloader extension from chrome sending it to virus vault. The point is I cannot see that they are a decent outfit and in sending it I wanted to know whether or not it's a false positive but if you don't get back to me I'm left to choose whether or not to go for it or not on my own. I can do that without your antivirus.
