Title: Avast Business Antivirus 14.4 for Mac OS X

Hi,

Mac OS X Antivirus: 14.4 (Managed only) has just been released, April 29, 2020.

Release Summary

This release contains new improvements and bug fixes to our Avast Business Antivirus Mac OS X
client.
Avast Business Antivirus 14.4 will be available for new installations straight away via the Avast
Business Management Console. All existing devices with Avast Business Antivirus 14.3 or lower will
start the automatic upgrade to 14.4 at a later time. Only online installations.
If you wish to upgrade your devices to 14.4 prior to the automatic upgrade, then you can create a
new Task (Update device – Program update task) from your console.
A system reboot will be required to complete the installation. There will be no forced reboot unless
you have set this in your device policy settings.
Note* this new client version will only be available for devices that are connected to the
management console.


Improvements
• Implementation of Smart Scan in product - checks all the active apps and their files. Scans the
most suspicious areas of your Mac.
• Support of scanning http2 traffic
• HNS behavior on corporate networks - if network is classified as corporate/public the scan is
restricted

Hi Jan, updating v14.4 with v14.4 is a bit confusing. How about naming it v14.4.1 next time..!? ;)
