Hi,
Today (2nd of May 2020) Avast Free Antivirus started to fail, with the following error message:
"UI Failed to load.
This is really embarrassing.
Your protection is running, but UI is having a really bad day."
I followed the recommended instructions here but it did not help:
https://support.avast.com/en-eu/article/Troubleshoot-Embarrassing-UI-Failed-load
Uninstall and reinstall is not really an option, since according to the info I found, if I would uninstall I would also lose my passwords managed by Avast, which would be really bad.
My operating system is Windows 10 Home (Version 1903, OS build 18362.778)
Is there a way, that I can recover my passwords without the graphical user interface?
Best Regards
Update:
I also tried the "Repair" functionality by following: https://support.avast.com/en-ww/article/Repair-Antivirus but the issues still persists.

Can I assume you have done a proper system "Restart" (or 2) not just shutdown/startup cycle. Sometimes necessary to do more than one "Restart" after a software change.
-
Yes, I did a proper restart twice (according to the instructions mentioned above).
After those failed attempts a bit later, I also did a full system shutdown, but the issue still persists.
-
The issue has been fixed, I guess by an automatic update
-
I am still having the same issues. UI interface not working!
-
If nothing else works then perhaps reinstalling is your only option, or waiting for an update.
