Title: Avast service fails to start, prompt /var/run/avast/scan.sock: No such file or d
Post by: jun32 on May 07, 2020, 12:06:01 PM
After entering /etc/init.d and running ./avast start, two avast processes are generated. After 10 seconds, there is an error log in / var / log / message:

Code: [Select]
avast: Error creating PID file: open (): /var/run/avast/avast.pid: File exists
Fatal error. Exiting.

Then one of the processes will exit and the "scan" command will appear

Code: [Select]
connect (): /var/run/avast/scan.sock: No such file or directory
[/code]
