Title: SPYBOT & SATELLITE
Post by: ROB NESBITT on September 08, 2006, 03:18:49 PM
I just bought a new laptop & set up Avast.  I did not see spybot applied as I did on my first PC (desktop).  Is spybot still necessary to have?  Also, I am going to setup my internet via satellite.  Is my system going to have enough protection with M/S Firewall & Avast? (I am a non-commercial user)?

                                                              Thankyou, Rob

You need antispyware protection.
Or you take Spybot, or Lavasoft Ad-aware, or Ewido, or A-Squared, or Spyware Terminator. All are free.
It's good if you have SpywareBlaster with any of the above.

Well, a firewall (inbound and outbound) won't be bad.
If you can, try, Comodo Firewall, or Kerio, or ZoneAlarm, or Jetico. All are free.  :)
