Title: Unable to Install: Verifying "Install Avast Security.pkg" makes 0 progress

Trying to install Avast on my Mac Power Book running El Capitan (10.11.6). After download the .dmg file and running it, a dialog pops up that says "Verifying 'Install Avast Security.pkg'", but then nothing happens. Hours later, still showing 0 progress. I've deleted, downloaded again, tried many times, and always get this. Is Avast not compatible with El Capitan?
