Hi my laptop has been going slow the last couple of weeks, done the usual virus scans.
Avast Engine Server is eating up memory do i need to keep it running?
I've been adviced to stop using Avast altogether but i've not had a major virus problem since i started using it so want to continue if i can.
Thanks for any help

1. Download Avast Free Antivirus: https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_free_antivirus_setup_offline.exe
2. Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed Avast versions..!!)
3. Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
4. Reboot.

Avast Driver Updater, Secure Browser, avast! SecureLine didn't uninstall
Reinstalled. Avast Engine Server is still there.
My laptop seemed slow even when i had avast uninstalled and chrome not open, so i guess there might be another issue
