Title: Uninstalling problem
Post by: daliya on May 24, 2020, 06:08:27 PM
hello everyone! I decided to check my MacBook for any viruses so I downloaded Avast, then I decided to uninstall it.
I clicked the uninstall button and I thought everything was done but then I searched up the name "Avast" in Finder and found some left over files.
I went Finder>Go>Computer>typed in Avast>Name>Matches>Avast>System Files>are included

I found leftover files, put them in Trash and emptied Trash.
However it doesn't allow me to delete this file that's named Avast nor open it, and gives me this warning. "This file can't be opened because it is damaged or incomplete" when I put it into Trash it says "This file can't be deleted because it is required by the macOS"

I am afraid that I might have damaged my computer but I made sure to only delete files that had name Avast in them (there were about 4 of them) [ftp]https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251382310/ftp] here is a link to a discussion, there are the screenshots of the file (I can't load them here)

What should I do? Is everything ok? I am just very anxious
