Title: Concurrent Connections in avast exceeded
Post by: directjj on September 11, 2006, 02:14:35 AM
In my Usenet reader Forte Agent when updating headers, I go a message:

Concurrent connections in avast exceeded.

Is there a setting for concurrent connections in avast? Is avast unable to properly scan Usenet header downloads or other types of network communications if there are too many connections open?

I get headers from Adelphia's version of Giganews so I should be able to use 10 concurrent connections.

Thanks.

Sure, this is the most configurable antivirus, remember?

Strange... because the default concurrent connection limit is 20 (for mail & news together).
If you need only 10  ??? If the limit of 20 was exceeded, you would see the line Closing connection due to MaxConnections into aswMaiSv.log file. This limit exists not to save resources, but to prevent connection looping in strange configurations, so the user can increase it without worry to, for instance, 50. The value 0 disables the limit.
