Title: "Threat secured" dialog won't go away

For the last couple of days, a "Threat secured" popup box has refused to go away, with no option other than "UPGRADE YOUR PROTECTION".
I take it that the software is for evaluation only and available for a limited period of time?

I assume by your username you have downloaded and installed Avast Free AV.
The free version is newable annually, not just a few days true for trial versions of paid Avast.
You can expect to see some pop-ups in free version that refer to limitations of the free version and suggest an upgrade to paid version. Those toaster popups should only stay on screen for 20secs, not be permanent.
A screen shot would be good.
Also state the version of Windows you have on that machine.
