Hi malware fighters,

Security measures that were taken by governments after 9-11 are doing more bad then good security-wise according to info found here: http://www.cio.com/blog_view.html?CID=24874
On the site they gave the example of rfid identity exposure (passport, dvd etc giving away your ID).
Another example was the "frequency hopping" that leaked out to Hezbollah warriors in Lebonon putting IDA people at a greater risk (they hacked into the technology). In the old days they would only spy on you, now they are effectively tracking you all the time, creating risks for innocent citizens.

I am not disputing the differences in security that's been put into place here in this country since 9/11. I know that I do not travel anywhere in my country by air. I don't need the convenience or speed of air traffic for anything in my life. I have other methods of transportation. Because I don't travel by air I don't have to put up with the security checks at the airports. What does bother me is that now I hear the powers to be are trying to get a federally issued drivers license program started where all of us will have to have their drivers licenses with whatever coding or tracking that comes with them to keep track of my movements. Of course our government probably will not admit to this.  :)

This was about rfid tracking, rfid is short range. I open up doors that way. But what about this: http://www.schneier.com/blog/archives/2006/02/wifi_tracking.html
Wifi-tracking is live and over hundreds of meters. If they can launch your profile in 0's and 1's, you can be tracked globally wherever you may be, just with the items you have on ye or in the future inside you (the pet-animals  have gone before you).
You cannot hide anymore, you're transparent already.

You cannot hide anymore, you're transparent already.This is only a problem if you're trying to hide.  ;D
For most people, it has no bearing at all.
