Title: Avast checking/crashing legacy accounting software
Post by: pfarmer2 on August 12, 2020, 05:23:08 PM
We just upgraded from EPSP to Avast Business Pro.
A couple of issues I had to work through and a few more that still need attention.

The main issues right now is:
We have a server running thoroughbred software that host our accounting software.
The users start an executable file from a UNC path to the server.
The morning after the upgrade, users are reporting disconnect errors from the accounting server.
Sometimes within a few minutes or maybe a few hours of starting the accounting software.

I have added the executable and file path to every exclusion list I can think of.

It is not that the file is being blocked from opening, just some quick scan is dropping the connection.
Really annoying, and causes an error that has to be resolved before they can continue working.

We never experienced this problem until installing Avast Business Pro.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
