Avast just claimed a file I've used for almost 10 years to run mp4 files has a virus. I've tried to Exclude and Restore the file and removed it from Quarantine, but my computer now won't acknowledge the mp4 format when running IrfanView or Nero. How do I get Avast to allow the file be loaded again? Thanx!
C:\Program Files\K-Lite Codec Pack\ffdshow\ffdshow.ax

EDIT: After looking online and through Reddit it looks like Avast is blocking ffmpeg (aka ffdshow) from writing temp data when loading mp4s.

Hello,
send the file for analysis through https://www.avast.com/false-positive-file-form.php, please.
Thanks,

I sent in the file a few days ago.
Is there an update on how to restore being able to view mp4 files on my computer?
As for how I know Avast is blocking it I was using Nero and loading mp4 files to burn to DVD when a message popped up. I can't recall what it said but it asked if I wanted to reboot my computer to do something. After that I haven't been able to load mp4 files and have been forced to convert them to avi, which I don't want to do.
Thanx!
