Hi all,
Can anyone point me in the right direction for
a user guide for Avast Premium Security in preferably a PDF format?
Thanks George.

As far as I'm aware there isn't one, only the Help section in the avast Settings area or support.avast.com information.

I just wonder how much trouble it would be to convert this to PDF file format, but in a constantly changing prodram keeping that up to date is also a consideration.

Thanks, DavidR for the info.
If that is right, it’s pretty disgraceful if Avast can’t be bothered to support their product with a PDF user guide manual that you can read off line. It’s about time someone in management got their finger out and ordered one to be written. It’s not rocket science to do that! They take your money but don’t provide you with a good service.
I don’t want to be second guessing in how to use the product!
I don’t want to have to come into the forum to ask questions when I could look them up in a PDF user manual.
I just don't have time to waste like this!
Other antivirus software manufacturer’s provide PDF user guide manuals.
Here is a list :

Come on Avast provide a PDF User Guide Manual ?

You're welcome.
I have been using avast free for over 16 years and for the most part the default settings have sufficed for the average user. But now things are getting more complex, especially for those using the Premium and Ultimate paid versions of Avast. Add to that the UI has become more difficult to use, find things.
I would guess you don't know about the geek:area, a hidden area of the UI, open the Settings and click the Search, type geek:area and see what is there. I have been banging on about the UI and especially this undocumented, hidden area for some considerable time.
EDIT: You could use the About Avast screen, Submit Feedback to suggest a PDF.

Thank you for sharing that secret info:
I will take a good look at that.
I do like to know how things work in fine detail.... :D

Glad I could help.
Keep up the fine work ;)
