Title: KMplayer gets online ...How to stop it ?

Hi all,
I am using KMplayer Pro version 4.2.2.44 on my PC /windows 10.
I have blocked it from calling home as I like what
I have and do not want any updates or spam sent to me.
But periodically it spawns another one of itself and runs and goes online.
I have 5 entries in avast, most self spawned!
Has anyone got an answer in how to stop this from happening?

Hi,

Based on the screenshot you seem to have blocked all traffic.
Perhaps another process is involved.
If you wish, you can run Process Monitor (procmon.exe) and check if another KMPlayer process is not accessing their servers.

An easy fix it ot switch to Change to VLC.

I think KMplayer is better,
I would rather stick with it.
I will take a look and see what other processes are running.

I agree with Bob. It's the better tool and also respects your privacy.

I don’t like workarounds,
Like installing VCL player, just because you can’t discover the problem,
It seems like a lazy approach!
I would rather solve the problem
I Shall use,
GlassWire Elite 2.2.241, it will reveal the process that is calling home
to KMplayer, and Block it into the bargain
