Title: I have to disable Web Shield to access Bank of America
Post by: rywakw on September 16, 2020, 11:11:05 PM
As above. Avast is giving a false positive because I DO log into BoA, but about 1.8 seconds later Avast blocks the site saying there is phishing going on. There is not. Please fix. Thanks.
I'd give a photo of the warning but it looks like you don't allow pics to be posted.

Same thing here.  Spoke to BoA and was told they've had over 100 calls today from Avast users.  I've also filled out the false positive form.

Yes.

That is great as that goes to the Avast virus labs.

Given it's BoA, I would imagine it will be dealt with quickly.

Yes, that did the trick. I downloaded the new definitions but had to restart my PC to get it to not close the BoA site. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
