Title: My surgery...
Post by: Lisandro on September 28, 2006, 03:46:35 AM
Well, just to ask you for compassion with me and a little prayer for this guy.
Tomorrow I'll be on a surgery to extract a small cancer, at least, the doctors say so...

I wish myself I could walk after that, because it is on my knee.
Yes, unfortunatelly, there is a possibility of the things go worse and, in this case, I'll have problems with all my leg.

Maybe it's fast, maybe it's not.
I'll be out for some time. Hope this thread was not that much off topic for Alwil  :)

To all my friends, hope I see you soon  :'(
I remember Alice, Cojo and some other good friends on this forum that have to struggle with diseases.
Now, seems to be my turn :-\ :'(

Hi Tech,
A word of advice from Alice:
Think positive and leave it in HIS hands.  :)

She must know something. It's worked for her more than once.

Hurry back.

Best of luck to you, Tech! I am a 3 1/2 year breast cancer survivor. I had a lumpectomy, chemo and radiation. Treatment wasn't fun but I have determined that it was better than being dead. And, yes, I do look at life differently since that experience.

God Speed! :D

Tech, I hope everything goes well and that you'll be back on your feet in no-time...

I had surgery too this summer (pilonidal cyst, or whatever else they call it - I just called it "a major pain in the a$$").

Hi Tech,

I am happy that the surgery was a success.    :D

I wasn't able to post earlier as I was a little sick with a cold/virus for a couple of days. Be sure to do the correct rehabilitation exercises so that you can again walk and ride your bike.    :)

Anyway, it is good to have you back on the forum!    :D

Miss all of you and the forum  :)

And for Alwil team, that, generally, does not post on off-topic threads, thanks Igor.

Chemo and radiation
My treatment will start with radiation  :-\
But, fortunatelly, I think (as doctors says) it has a great chance of success.

Wonderful news Tech!!!  Take care... 60!

Really thanks for your concern...
Yeah, it hurts. I need to stay in bed or sitted down in a chair.
But, fortunatelly, I can do small walks and I'm doing physiotherapy to recover the movement of my left leg.
Fortunatelly too, there is not methastasys in ANY way... I'm very glad of this, I can't even believe, very very happy and feeling lucky  8)
But, with this kind of diseases you never know... Now it's time to be grateful, happy, enjoy family, friends and life  8) 8)

Edited: I've changed my avatar for another one made (again) by Sasha's that translates better my spirit now  8)

Hi Tech, glad to hear good news ! Yes of course, healing takes time and that's normal... most important thing is that you can feel the progress and you feel better. I am sure, everything will be behind you pretty soon. ;)

@Snowhite - story behind that avatar... it's not new, actually it's very, very old. See here (the date of that post):

Haha, I didn't mean to create another avatar for you  ;D  ;D  ;D I just thought it could look nice as a signature or something since it's 150 pixels horizontal... we kind of accepted (non writen rule though) 100x100 as largest avatar size.
