I run the smart scan and get all the way through and watch the Smart Home Risks complete but when I click on Next it will not show me the Smart Home Risks wich has and exclaimation point in it
I tried to repair it, I tried to reset it I even downloaded the latest version and restarted my pc and still the same thing is happening, I laso have a notification
that saays Smart scan found issues but when I click on details and brings me back to the main windows and I click next but nothing happens
can anyone Please help me, I love avast and want to keep it

If Repair doesn't fix the problem, try the following:
If your Avast settings are not the default settings and you want them restored after the Clean Install, follow this before removing Avast.

Things that come to mind are Avast OMNI do you have it ?
What avast program/s do you have installed ?
OMNI is currently only available in the USA, if that is the case, this is more likely to be a promo for it.
The Smart Scan frequently reports potential issues, more in the hope that will purchase that paid product.

Having the same issue. Smart scan completes, can view the first 3 reports, but when I hit next to view "Smart Home Risks", nothing happens.

I have the newest version of free avast and I’m having problems running a scan and so is my friend.When I run the smart scan it’s fine till it gets to smart home risks. When it’s finished I click next and the next arrow disappears and I don’t get the results of smart home risks. I can now not scan again since there is no arrow and scan has not finished. I have repaired modified uninstalled avast reinstalled several times. The new install will have advanced issues instead of smart home risks. Scan finishes. I close avast. Open it again and there is smart home risks again and back to same problem.

Sorry but it is not resolved in the upgrade. I have the newest upgrade 20.9.2437. It will not finish the scan at smart home risks. When I click to end it, the next button disappears. This is the Free Avast. I have done everything. Repaired, modified, rebooted, uninstalled, reinstalled. Still the same problem

I cannot submit screenshots since this is for free avast and it's only allowing email to paid avast. Is there a way to contact support through regular email? Otherwise, this is not getting solved.

Follow the instructions and attach your screenshot. Attaching a screenshot here in the forum
has nothing to do with what version of Avast you're using or if you're even using Avast.

Since I hardly ever run scans, I can't confirm the problem.
It's best to wait for a developer to reply.
I've reported this to Avast but, this is the weekend.

Thank you but That link is for 20.9 which is what I have the problems with. The Avast team member said it will be fixed in the 20.10 version which is what I asked when will that come out.

I just installed the 20.10 beta version and at first it worked with advanced issues at the end scan and not smart home risks. I closed out of avast and back in to scan again to see and smart home risks was back and the same problem exists of it not finishing smart home risks and the next arrow disappearing. I am totally frustrated. I have attached screenshots.

I updated my windows 10 to 20H2 and still have the problem. I uninstalled Avast and reinstalled it and still the same issue. What is weird is the first run scan after installing has advanced issues instead of smart home risks. That works well. Then when you close out avast and run the scan again Smart Home Risks is back instead of advanced issues and that's where the problem is, it will not show results after the smart home risks scan is finished and the next arrow disappears like I showed in my screenshots. This is also with the 20.10 beta version of Avast. I even uninstalled it and reinstalled the 20.9 version and the same exact thing happens. Right now I still have the 20.10 beta version but will probably put back the 20.9 version since it's not resolved. Also, my friend is having the same exact problem. Plus, her Avast actually went back on it's own last night to show advanced issues instead of Smart Home risks and was working but it went back to Smart Home Risks today. Hopefully this will get resolved but it's been a month with this issue for both my friend and I. Thank you for your help

Oh I give up now! I decided to remove wifi inspector to see if that would help and it did for the first scan again with Advance issues instead of smart home risks but when I checked again, smart home risks was back and the same problem! How is smart home risks back with wifi inspector not installed? From what I've read in the forum this problem has been happening on and off since August!!! It was happening in the beta 20.10 version and I uninstalled that since it wasn't working for me and reinstalled 20.9 and it's still not working. Can't someone at Avast fix this already!!!
