Title: No sound
Post by: wandersee on September 29, 2020, 07:24:52 AM
Pretend there is an upside down emoji here.
Driver updater updated  at least 40 drivers. It scanned 123. I have no way of knowing which update took out my audio. Can you help me? This is one of our windows 7 Professional computers. This is the one we play games etc on. Mostly used for fun so the sound is vital !  Thanks much for any solution , other than system restore, that you can provide.

Hi,

If you have rebooted your device after all the updates and you still have this issue, then it
would be best to restore to the previous driver.
Please follow these steps for Avast Driver Updater version 20.1

Open Avast Driver Updater
1. Click on “See Overview”
2. Locate the updated driver (audio driver)
3. Click on “Driver versions”
4. Locate the previous version of the driver
5. Click on “Restore”

On my Dell Inspiron, I had also lost the computer's audio.
The headset worked but the computer was silent.
I had to re-install the Realtek Audo drivers to resolve my problem.
