Title: web page display in avast browser
Post by: rtrg on October 07, 2020, 05:33:04 AM
an odd question that needs a simple answer and solution. I use avast browser plus 6 others. up to now all 7 browsers displayed a given web page in the same way meaning that the page filled the screen readable throughout. recently avast started to display my news web page differently than the rest. the site in question is LIVE NEWS NOW.com. in the past the sites home page filled the screen with the usual choices at the top. now there is a background image filling the screen with a smaller version of the usual home page superimposed in the center. the news video can be selected and made full screen in the usual way. is this a function of the browser or the website? if the site is sending this image, why do the other browsers ignore this change and display the page as always? is it possible to fill the smaller usual page to fill the screen in essence superimposing the page over the background page in the same size? not a deal breaker but annoying when changes are made from providers without explanation.

on another issue why does FIREFOX NOT display pages in the preview screen in COLOR NOT b/w? all other browser use the same preview screen, that is any page can be displayed in color or b/w by choice. FF does NOT provide that choice nor does it use the same preview screen. why? is there a third party color preview screen for download?
